Every bead represents a CEO on the list of top 500 companies in the US, with bead color denoting sex. Gold beads represent female CEOs and teal beads represent male CEOs. There are 37 gold beads, which is 7.4% of the total. This is the highest number of female CEOs in history (yay) but also, clearly not enough (not yay).
