The ratio of colored beads against the total represents the 81% of women who reported having been sexually harassed in some form during their lifetime. Each grouping of color also represents the scale of different forms of sexual harassment experiences.

34% of women physically followed home – 34 light pink beads
30% of women who have had genitals flashed at them – 30 orange beads

These statistics should concern you. To make it personal, the majority of the women in your life have experienced sexual harassment of some type. Over a quarter have been sexually assaulted. We need to continue to spread awareness and stop sexual harassment. My hope is that these earrings can help be one small step towards that by creating conversation.
